Social media privacy policy

Bocado Functional Foods has profiles on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube to present its products, publish recipes and communicate with its community.

2. Joint responsibility with the platforms

When you interact with our profiles, your data is processed both by BAUER LEMANS, S.L. and by the social network itself. In the case of Facebook and Instagram, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and we are joint controllers for the processing of page insights data, under Meta’s joint controller agreement (“Page Insights Controller Addendum”). Meta has primary responsibility for that processing and handles the related rights.

We recommend that you review the privacy policies of each platform:

3. What data we process and why

• Managing our community: seeing your username and public information when you follow, comment or react, replying to your comments and messages and moderating posts. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing our profiles (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Answering enquiries sent by private message. Legal basis: your consent when you write to us (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Aggregated statistics provided by the platform, which do not allow us to identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Giveaways and promotions: managing your participation in accordance with the rules of each promotion. Legal basis: your consent when you take part (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We only process your data within the social network. We do not add it to our databases unless you provide it for a specific purpose (for example, to send you a prize), in which case we will inform you at that time. We will not send you commercial communications outside the social network without your consent.

4. Users’ posts

When posting on our profiles, you must own the rights to the content or have permission to use it. We may remove content that is offensive, unlawful, advertising or that infringes third-party rights, and block anyone who repeatedly posts it. We are not responsible for content freely posted by other people. Remember that what you post will be visible to other users.

If we want to use one of your photos or comments in our posts, we will ask for your permission first.

5. Giveaways and promotions

The rules of each giveaway or promotion will be published together with the promotion. The platforms do not sponsor, endorse or administer our promotions, nor are they associated with them.

6. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hola@bocadofoods.com. Please note that we can only act on information under our control (for example, deleting a comment on our page). For everything else you must contact the social network. You can also unfollow us and adjust your profile’s privacy settings at any time.

You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
